Medicare is a federal health insurance for people 65 or older, some younger people with disabilities and individuals with End-Stage Renal Disease. You are eligible to sign up for Part A and Part B starting 3 months before you turn 65 and ending 3 months after the month you turn 65. Medicare open enrollment starts October 15 and ends December 7. General enrollment starts January 1 and ends March 31. Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period is January 1 thru March 31
